[ ETERNAL ESPERANZA ]

The Esperanza wildfire in Southern California in late 2006 claimed five firemen and 34 homes. These panoramic photographs track the healing of the land and rebuilding of a community. I hike through the fire site every few weeks, and have recorded the subtle changes in the landscape. The exhibit is a series of large-format panoramic prints mounted in a circular configuration where viewers "walk through the seasons" to arrive where they started--illustrating the continuity of renewal and healing. See our Events section for current exhibitions of these prints.
